A Note and A Vote

A Note: I am on vacation from work this week which means I am at home trying to get some stuff done around the house. We have a few outdoor projects to finish up, but since it's been raining almost everyday, we are getting nowhere fast. There are plenty of indoor things to do, but since I am a procrastinator I give you:

A Vote: I've decided to change my blog template again. Why?

1. Because I can.
2. Because it is more fun than cleaning out the attic.
3. Because I want to be like Michele, Michele, Michele when I grow up.
4. Because I have been coveting Ellen's newer template.
5. Because I have temporary access to Photoshop.
6. Because I am hoping a flower theme will scare off Tony and his purgatory references (just kidding, Tony).

BUT, I have two different headers made up and can't decide. So please take a look at my two new layouts and tell me which you like best (leave a comment here): Layout 1 or Layout 2.

Since I am concentrating on home projects this week, posting will be light to non-existent. Do what you can to get by without me.

Great fun! I'm ready for a change of template too, but don't have the time to worry about it. Of the two new ones, I like option #1 the best. But I DO like your red apples/cherries? Either way works for me. *-)

I like the first one also, but like the cherries, too! (but photoshop is REALLY fun!)

Well, thank you for the links! Of the two, I like the second one better, though I think the tabs interfere with the picture -- that's why I took them out when I used it for Life Under the Sun.

And I agree that Ellen has a lovely blog design, very clean -- though your current template is one of my favorites and if I had the time I was going to port it over to RWB but that didn't happen.

I've come to accept the fact that I can't have four blogs just because I like templates and the name of the blog. I just don't have the time for a fourth blog.

Thanks - I have instructions from my gentleman friend: don't mess with it.

I'm taking a web design class next semester, I might end up setting up a whole different website for a different blog, or just finding a different platform for this mzellen.com.

Wordpress has hundreds of themes/templates to choose from, this is about my favorite.

Hey! You guys aren't suppose to like the current template!

I made a change to layout 2 and moved the tabs down, since Michele didn't like them cutting into the picture (I agree).

I'm still torn b/w the two. I like having the full picture in layout 2, the only thing I really like about layout 1 is having the verse there. I'm going to see if I can modify the template in layout 2 so I can insert a verse.

Plus I had a moment b/c I went over to my other site where I changed the layout and where I have one of those bible verse display banner thingies. Anyway, the verse for the day was Isa 40:8, the exact one I picked out for layout 1.

Ultimately I would like to be able to change the header picture and verse whenever I feel like it.

So if anyone new comes by, can you tell me what you do or don't like about either template. Maybe I can somehow combine the two.

:)

I use Firefox to block annoying blog pics (template or whatnot :))
